YOUTH MINISTRY

Tony Parker Ministries, Inc. (TPMI) is responsible for the direction, development, encouragement and coordination of the youth, in and out of church, throughout the community. TPMI identifies and provides the resources and training needed for youth, and youth ministries, to develop life changing tools and dependency upon Jesus Christ. We teach youth that loving themselves, comes from loving Jesus Christ first, and being respectful of who they are and who they represent, and how important it is to be obedient to His will. Thereby leading abstinent, drug free and gang free lives.

We reach out to the youth in the community, via requests and other related involvement. Please visit our H.O.P.E. link for more youth training resources.

Minister Parker while in prison, beginning his rebirth...Prison Ministry

Minister Tony Parker, a former inmate, realizes the importance of being steadfast, unmovable and waiting on Jesus Christ to transform your life into what He has designed for you. TPMI spreads the Gospel to the prison bound, and show them that Jesus is always present, no matter your circumstances.

"For I know the thoughts I think towards you, says the Lord,
thoughts of peace, and not of evil,
to give you an expected end." (Jeremiah 29:11 KJV)

Initiatives for TPMI's Prison Ministry include:

        • Correspondence via a monthly Newsletter
        • AIDS Awareness
        • Life Skills
        • Restoration of Rights
        • Joint Effort Delinquency
        • Re-Entry Program

Minister Parker was recently appointed by the State of Florida Atttorney General's Office as the Region Chairman of the Re-entry Committee (covering 5 counties).

The purpose of these ministry initiatives are to equip inmates to survive their experiences by arming them with knowledge and practical application thereof before they exit the prison system. Because of the alarming number of people forced to live their lives behind prison bars, walls and fences, there is a need now more than ever before to address the prison population as an entity being removed from society and being forgotten once convicted only to be returned to society in the future without any rehabilitation. Tony Parker Ministries, Inc., without judgement, go inside correctional facilities to minister to those inmates in need. From Prison Realities to Community Re-entry...we stand ready to assist you.

If you have a family member or friend incarcerated and would like TPMI's Prison Ministry Correspondence Team to communicate with your loved one or friend, please complete the Prison Ministry Contact Form, in its entirety.

It affects All...AIDS & Afflicted Ministry

My brothers and sisters we are losing too many good people, to diseases. Some cases which are preventable, just by protecting yourself and making wise choices when it comes to sex. TPMI teaches and encourages abstinence; and if you choose not to, then we educate on safe sex practices. We explain sexually transmitted disease (STD) facts, such as those below, to bring awareness of how these diseases, not only affect the individual, but everyone.

TPMI aspires to educate inmates, our communities, and our youth, about the dangers of these diseases, and how it's leaving holes in the family structure. We want to convey that Jesus Christ is sufficient, to satisfy your every need and desire. There is a great need in our society to turn back to Christ, releasing those things not of Him, and to repent.

Some Facts About AIDS

AIDS is the acronym for Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome or Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome, which is a disease of the human immune system caused by the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). It reduces the effectiveness of the immune system and leaves an individual susceptible to opportunistic infections and tumors.

HIV is transmitted through direct contact of a mucous membrane or the bloodstream with a bodily fluid containing HIV, such as blood, semen, vaginal fluid, and breast milk. Usually transmitted via sex, blood transfusion, contaminated hypodermic needles, exchange between mother and baby during pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding or other exposure to bodily fluids.

WHO estimated in 2007, that 33.2 million people lived with the disease worldwide, and that AIDS had killed an estimated 2.1 million people, including 330,000 children.

HIV & AIDS are not the only numbers on the rise, there are other diseases that can cause you mental and physical anguish, as well as infertility. "Rates of AIDS cases among males 15 to 24 years grew from 1997 to 2006, according to a report issued today from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Teen births rose in the 2006-2007 period after more than a decade of declining rates."[1] While there are many new developments, and pharmecutical aids, the fact remains there is no cure for AIDS, except for abstinence.
